The first step in the portrait session is the consultation. At this point we will discuss your preferred set you choose from the examples on the website. Of equal importance is your choice of wardrobe. We have a selection of wraps and maternity dresses at the ready, but we are very open to you suggesting alternative attire.
If additional members of the family plan to be in the photograph there must be an effort to match both outfits, paying attention to style, fabric and continuity.
The second step is to schedule a date for the portrait session. I have found mornings are best; the weather is cooler and more predictable. If foul weather does cancel the session we will reschedule at no additional cost as long as everyone is keeping with the agreed schedule.
The Portrait Session
The portrait session will last approximately 90 minutes. This includes the selection of wardrobe and dressing. Add an additional thirty minutes if you decide on using a make-up artist.
Every effort will be made to ensure the subject is comfortable. A female assistant will be on hand to help with wardrobe and any fine-tuning of the outfit during the portrait session. While not necessary, please feel free to bring a companion, a family member or a friend.
